AI Receptionist

An AI receptionist that answers every call.

FoundOnline’s AI Receptionist is a Voice AI phone answering service for local businesses. It picks up on the first ring — nights, weekends, and while the crew is on a job — captures the lead, qualifies it, answers questions about your services and prices, books the appointment, transfers the calls that need a human, and texts you the details. Coverage, not headcount.

“Hi, do you clear out garages? And roughly what does that run?”
“We do. A single-garage clear-out usually starts around $500. I have Thursday morning or Friday afternoon — which suits?”
“Thursday works.”

The hidden cost

It is not a staffing problem. It is a coverage problem.

You already paid to make that phone ring — the ranking, the ad click, the review that convinced them. Then it rings while you are under a sink, on a roof, or asleep. Most callers do not leave a voicemail and do not ring back. They call the next listing, and nothing in any report will ever show you that call.
Three panels: missed calls from Sarah M. and Natalie P., an overnight coverage summary showing 24/7 voice coverage and 10+ outcomes queued by 9 a.m., and an after-hours panel showing lead calls after dinner and a website visitor converting at 11 p.m.

How this is priced

A setup fee, then a monthly. Both.

Voice AI is not a one-off build. The setup fee covers configuring it on your services, prices, and call handling, and testing it before it answers anything. The monthly covers the infrastructure it runs on, the call minutes, and keeping it accurate as your business changes. It needs both for as long as it is answering your phone — month to month, no long-term contract.

Frequently asked questions

What is a voice agent, and how does it work?
It is software that answers your phone and holds a spoken conversation. It listens, works out what the caller wants, answers from what you have told it about your services and prices, and then does something — books the job into your calendar, takes the details, or passes the call to you. The caller just rings your number as usual.
How is this different from an answering service?
An answering service takes a message. This takes the booking. A human service also costs per call and works set hours; this answers every call at once, at 2am and during a rush, and writes the outcome straight into your CRM and calendar.
Will it sound robotic?
It sounds like a person on a phone line, with natural pauses, and it can be interrupted mid-sentence the way a person can. You pick the voice and set the tone. Call it on (713) 528-8210 and judge it yourself rather than taking our word for it.
Will my customers know it is not a person?
Some will, and it matters far less than being answered. The alternative is a voicemail most callers will not leave. It never claims to be a specific person, and it hands off to you when a human is genuinely needed.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number and forward it, or forward only the calls you miss. Nothing about how customers reach you changes, and you can turn the forwarding off whenever you want.
What happens if it does not know the answer?
It is bounded to what you have given it and told to escalate rather than guess. Every call is transcribed, so anything it fumbles gets corrected in the configuration that week.
Does it answer on my website too, or only the phone?
Both. The same agent sits on your website and answers typed or spoken questions there, so a visitor at 11pm gets an answer and books instead of leaving. It is the same script and the same calendar behind it.
Which businesses is this a fit for?
Trades and local services where a missed call is a lost job and the work happens away from a desk — roofing, plumbing, HVAC, junk removal, auto repair, dental and medical practices. If the phone rings while you are on a roof or under a sink, it fits.
Can it take a payment or card details?
No. It books and captures details. Card numbers are never collected on the call.
Does it replace my office staff?
No, and we would not sell it that way. Most businesses run it as overflow and after-hours, so the office keeps the calls it can take and nothing rings out at 7pm or on a Sunday.
Who sets it up and keeps it accurate?
We do. You give us your services, your prices, and how you want calls handled; we build it, test it against real questions, and update it when your prices or service areas change. You are not learning another tool.
How long until it is live?
The sprint covers the build, the script, the CRM and calendar connections, and testing before it takes a real call. We agree the go-live date at the start of the sprint rather than guessing at it here.
Who builds and runs it?
We do. We configure it on your services and prices, connect it to your CRM and calendar, keep it tuned as things change, and report on it beside your other channels. You get one number to call and one team accountable for it, not another tool to run.
What does it cost?
It starts at $1,500 to set up and $500 a month, and we quote from there on your call volume and how much you want it handling. Voice AI always has both: the setup gets it built and trained on your business, and the monthly covers the infrastructure and the call minutes it runs on. It needs both for as long as it is answering your phone. Month to month, no long-term contract.
